Listeners were left in awe at the ending of Part Eight: The Calm of Supernatural Skeptics Guide to New Orleans when host Sarah Bennett witnessed her apocalyptic companion Sebastian shockingly collapse when returning from a supply run. Benett had been reminiscing about her past and how it led her to the LaRouche House before Sebastian returned. However, Sarah soon learns that the horrors of the LaRouche House are more real than she ever believed when she finds herself in Part Nine: Revelations of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners VR horror game companion podcast.
We catch Bennett in a frantic state of mind as she tries to find a particular object. Sarah goes on to explain the reason behind her distressed state is that Sebastian had returned from his supply severely injured. Sebastian told Bennett that a group of marauders had attacked him. These marauders were led by the young boy who Sarah and Sebastian had spared when he and his father tried to attack them. However, the boy had managed to get a group together and attack Sebastian. Benett's fellow survivor tells her that he had been able to kill each of his attackers.
Bennett is able to find a first aid kit to treat Sebastian's wounds but is then interrupted on her way back to Sebastian when she trips down a staircase and opens up what looks to be a trapdoor leading to an unknown location. The reveal of this mysterious trapdoor piques the curiosity of Sarah and causes her to return after treating Sebastian's wounds.
A sudden feeling of dread falls upon Bennett as she realizes where the stairs underneath the trapdoor lead. Right to the infamous torture chamber of Quentin LaRouche, where the former owner of the house Bennett and Sebastian have been using as shelter, committed an array of vile acts against innocent people. Remembering the mission that brought her to the LaRouche House in the first place before the walker outbreak, Bennett descends the stairs and into the darkness.
"For centuries, this room has been considered more fiction than fact. An urban myth of an urban myth, but it truly exists. It's where LaRouche tortured the people he kept as slaves and where the Brills murdered their victims, and now I stand inside of it. The heart of LaRouche House. The ninth circle of Hell," Bennett calmly and anxiously states in Part Nine of the Walking Dead Saints & Sinners VR horror game companion story.
A dummy within the room soon captures the attention of Sarah, who begins to look it over only to discover something horrific when it came to the composition of the dummy itself. "The dummy wears a uniform of a Confederate officer. He's cobwebbed, and dust trenched," says Sarah as she nervously examines the dummy. "Above the neckline, a plaster cast of a man's face with hair and teeth embedded in the mold. Wait, is this supposed to be Quentin LaRouche? Did the Brills make this to influence their children to murder?"
Our host soon comes across what looks to be a fort made with chairs and blankets. Inside of the child's fort, she finds a sleeping bag, canned goods, and a pile of dusty photos. One of these photos shows the Brill twins dressed up in Halloween costumes when they were approximately ten years old. However, this photograph soon reveals a truly terrifying truth to Bennett that makes her question everything she has gone through since the beginning of the apocalypse. "The girl is dressed like a princess, and the boy wears a firefighter costume," Benett states as she examines the photo. "Holds a toy fire axe in his hand. Written on the back are the words Halloween, New Orleans, Jane, and..."
