The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2 will now launch simultaneously on Steam and PSVR2 on March 21, 2023 with both versions jam packed with a slew of improvements based on community feedback from the Meta Quest 2 launch. Furthermore, saves will be transferable between platforms including Meta, Steam and PSVR2. This also means that users who purchased the Meta Quest 2 version in December 2022 can carry over their progress and experience the game on additional platforms.

This is a full standalone game of the same size/scope as the first chapter. We like to call it a chapter, not just because of our affinity for the comic universe that we created the game based on, but also because it is the direct continuation of the story of the Tourist.

Retribution brings with it an all new 15+ hour campaign, several new maps to explore, many new weapons and crafting recipes to use, new enemy types to face, the introduction of Night Mode exploration for all maps, and an all new Trade Network system to engage with.

There will be a “Payback” edition of Retribution for purchase, which will include a new set of exclusive weapon crafting recipes, collectibles, and new furniture in the Resting Place. These are all cosmetic items. We will be showcasing some of these in the weeks ahead.

While there are benefits for having played Chapter 1, you will be able to enjoy Chapter 2 entirely on its own. If you are completely new to Saints & Sinners you can also get the two games together in the Saints & Sinners bundle.

Chapter 2 is expected to be about 15 gigabytes in size.

The runtime of Retribution’s campaign is expected to be 15+ hours for most players.

If you have a save file from the original Saints & Sinners, you will be able to import it into Retribution to carry over in-game progress. However, this feature is NOT currently working on launch. We have a patch planned to address this. Please do not use this feature until the next update.

When the feature is fully implemented, you will be able to import your Chapter 1 save into Retribution to carry over elements such as collected crafting recipes and inventory.

The process of importing the save will work as follows.

Launch Game -> New Game (on main menu) -> Choose which Save Profile -> Import files or Clean Game.

Yes! Just like with Chapter 1, Retribution will be cross-buy on the Meta store and will allow you to play either the Quest or Rift version of the game.

This is normal on the first load and after a patch. Please have patience as the files unpack. At worst this could take up to a minute, but afterwards future load times should be much faster.
